DIY Inspiration: Giant Scary Ghost on a Pulley from pumkinrothalloween.
I wish pumpkinrothalloween would write a short how-to because this ghost is terrifying.
The Sliding Ghost, from Halloween 1987.
My brother was in the upstairs bedroom window reeling this massive thing up and then releasing it to glide down on a pulley towards kids and their parents walking on the sidewalk. Super quiet so it had many a terrified victim.
We did the pulley prop for a few years, each year something different: a witch on a broom, a giant bat, a Slimer-like green ghost, and this guy.

There are 2 posts on how to make this DIY Hand of Glory. That’s because theses are very detailed tutorials with lots of photos. As the author states on Crafster:
I made mine using traditional corpsing techniques, by applying liquid latex and toilet paper on a skeleton hand armature, which I made using crappy, cheap markers, hot glue & string.
The Hand of Glory is the dried and pickled hand of a man who has been hanged, often specified as being the left (Latin:sinister) hand, or, if the man were hanged for murder, the hand that “did the deed.”
Old European beliefs attribute great powers to a Hand of Glory combined with a candle made from fat from the corpse of the same malefactor who died on the gallows. The candle so made, lighted, and placed (as if in a candlestick) in the Hand of Glory, would have rendered motionless all persons to whom it was presented. – Wikapedia
